Witnessing the Present

My work as a photojournalist and documentary photographer focuses on the relationship between people, place and power. Working across Berlin and Delhi, I document political movements, migration, public memory, community organizing and the effects of institutional failure on everyday life. My photographs include demonstrations in solidarity with Palestine and Ukraine, diaspora-led protests for educational reform, feminist and LGBTQIA+ gatherings, and artistic projects examining Germany’s colonial legacy.

Alongside independent documentary work, I have photographed assignments for The Times of India and collaborated with cultural institutions, journalists and community organizations. Whether documenting monsoon flooding and damaged public housing in Delhi or collective resistance on the streets of Berlin, I approach each story through careful observation and long-term engagement. The work seeks to create a visual record of how communities experience conflict, inequality and social change and how they respond through protest, solidarity and care.
